Return Policy

We want you to be happy with the products you select and to share our love of historic arts & crafts.The unfortunate truth, though, is that sometimes things go wrong. If there is a problem with the order; ie, an item is broken, or the wrong item is placed in your box, please E-mail us immediately. We will, of course, make it right as quickly as possible at no cost to you.

If upon receipt of your order you realize that you made a mistake in ordering, that, for example, you wanted a Coptic Bound Book and actually ordered Byzantine, we will accept returns, although we must charge a 25% restocking fee. You *must* first notify The Historic Workshop of the problem with the order, prior to returning it. NO RETURNS will be accepted or credited for any reason without prior authorization. Shipping and handling charges are never refundable.

Upon contacting us and approval, you will be given an authorization number and an address where to send the return. The authorization number must be written on the outside of your box next to the shipping label. Any package that is not pre-approved for return will be refused. If for any reason you find it necessary to change or cancel an order, please use the orders section of the account page within 30 minutes of placing the order. After that time we may not be able to make any changes. If your package has already been mailed, it will be subject to the return charges outlined above. If the package has been packed and postage applied to the box, you will be charged the S&H we have invested.

Backorder Policy

If you order a product that is out of stock or on backorder, we will email you with the product's expected date of availability. The Historic Workshop tries to maintain an inventory of all of our products but due to tool failure, material shortages, and other events sometimes products do run out of stock.

The Historic Workshop does not charge your credit card for backordered items until we ship your order. No additional shipping and handling charges will be added when your order ships. Backorders will be shipped using your selected shipping method. If you would like to change your shipping method, please send an email to sales@historicworkshop.com with your order number in the "Subject Field" of your email.
