Morgan Hall

Morgan was born in 1942 in Dillon Montana. His father was a trapper and miner so Morgan grew up working with picks and drill steel sharpened with forge and hammer. He earned his MFA in 1972, specializing in jewelry and metal smithing. He is trained as a silversmith, goldsmith, coppersmith and more recently a self-taught blacksmith. He is especially proud of his abilities as a tool maker. His motto is: Get it hotter and hit it harder with a bigger hammer. In addition to his skills with metal, Morgan has been practicing the glassblowers art since 1998. Morgan is also involved with the Society for Creative Anachronism, where he is known as Morgan de Comyn, and pursues his interests of historic art and technologies.
