Our bulls' heads are based on silver Magyar (Hungarian) ornaments dating from the 9th to 10th century. This style is currently in the Hungarian National Museum, inventory number 60.17.5-6. Our bronze ornaments are cast and finished in the workshop here in Oregon. Each bulls head is backed with three rivets for attaching it to leather accessories. The originals were probably attached to leather straps and used as hair ornaments, though animal heads were also used as caftan ornaments and as strap ornaments on horse tack. Each bull's head measures 1” x ¾”.
