We designed this slate frame to be large enough to hold embroideries such as one to two sleeves or a coat back. This frame is made from beech, a wood both fine grained and strong enough to put up with some abuse. It is nicely finished with a wax and oil sealer, and hand turned pegs. The inside dimensions are adjustable from 12 inches to 24 inches by 31 1/2 inches, and the maximum exterior dimensions are 39 inches by 29 1/2 inches. Requests for custom sizes and woods are welcomed. Slate Frame Stand sold separately, embroidery not included. Slate Frames and Stands are made to order, and they may take up to four to six weeks to ship.
